I am a lucky lucky girl.\u00a0At a recent trip to Paris, I was lucky enough to get a tour of the Paris Opera and actually climb on to the roof.\u00a0<\/p>\n

I can’t even begin to describe the excitement I felt at getting in from the artists’ entrance, walking the fabled corridors, seeing the amazing architecture. But the most exciting thing of all is that we got to get up on the roof and see Paris like very few people get to see it.<\/p>\n

When I was a kid I used to do ballet. I silently thank my mother for that every time I hear a piece of classical music or see mime in\u00a0a classical choreography. I would never have been able to understand these things without my ballet experience.<\/p>\n

I love ballet with a passion and the opportunity to be backstage was truly magical. Walking into the round rehearsal room, touching the barre that I know true artists touch every day was a profound experience for me.<\/p>\n

To my friend J. who set this all up, you ROCK<\/strong> big time.<\/p>\n
